Recap of our webinar on leak detection in Swedish drinking water pipes using fiber optics
24/02/2023On the 9th of February, 2023, DALI held a free, online webinar about leak detection in Swedish drinking water pipes. In this webinar we demonstrated why fiber optic sensing – using the DALI principle – is the best solution to monitor leaks in water pipes. And with over 150 registrations, it was a tremendous success. The webinar clearly sparked numerous questions and generated considerable interest in the subject of leak detection.
ABOUT THE WEBINAR
In the online and free webinar DALI and Nordvästra Skånes Vatten och Avlopp (NSVA) elaborated on a use case in Sweden where we inserted a fiber optic cable in NSVA’s PE distribution pipes. In less than a day, we inserted the cable and discovered several test leaks in 110 mm PE pipes.
During the interactive webinar, we clearly described the opportunities and different applications of the DALI system in specific business contexts, as demonstrated through a specific use case.
